  1. OpenSAFELY CLI v2.1.5 released to address CA certificate vulnerability

    We have released OpenSAFELY CLI v2.1.5 to address certificate-related security issues.

  2. Dropping support for legacy Python versions in OpenSAFELY CLI

    Python 3.8 and 3.9 are no longer supported by the OpenSAFELY command-line interface (CLI).

  3. Major update to ICD-10 on OpenCodelists

    We have implemented an updated release of ICD-10 on OpenCodelists, designed to work specifically with OpenSAFELY data for increased coverage across multiple datasets at once.

  4. New version of the OpenSAFELY R image (v3)

    We are pleased to announce the availability of a new version of the R image, which we call r:v3. This includes R 4.6.1 and an updated suite of libraries.

  5. BNF coding system releases updated in OpenCodelists

    We have now imported the monthly BNF releases from October 2024 through to August 2026, the latest release currently available from the NHSBSA Open Data Portal.

  6. Data in the TPP backend now refreshes every four weeks

    From this week, the data in the TPP backend will be refreshed every four weeks rather than every week.

  7. NHS PCD refsets and NHS drug refsets updated in OpenCodelists

    We have recently imported the latest NHS PCD refsets and the latest NHS drug refsets into OpenCodelists.

  8. Outputs from out-of-date actions can now be hidden in Airlock

    We now hide these outputs from out-of-date actions by default to keep your workspace uncluttered. A notice at the top of the tree shows how many such outputs exist.

  9. Job request progress summary

    Job Request pages now show a summary card with counts and percentages for each Job status, making it easier to understand progress at a glance.

  10. New sorting options on OpenCodelists profile pages

    OpenCodelists users can now sort codelists on their profile page by name, owner, or last updated date.
