BNF coding system releases updated in OpenCodelists

The British National Formulary (BNF) coding system provides a hierarchical view of drugs and medical devices at the BNF presentation level, organised into chapters, sections and paragraphs.
OpenCodelists supports the creation of codelists using the BNF coding system. We have now imported the monthly BNF releases from October 2024 through to August 2026 (the latest release currently available from the NHSBSA Open Data Portal). These releases are now available for use in OpenCodelists, ensuring researchers have access to the most up-to-date resources.
